My name is Adam Weeden, and I’m a 23-year-old University Graduate, currently working as a Manager at a Restaurant in Swindon.
In 2016 I finished studying for a degree in Media Technology at Southampton Solent University, for which I achieved a second class honours. Over the four years I spent at University, I didn’t just spend time working on my course, as I took part in a number of extracurricular activities.
During University, I spent much time working at the Student Union’s radio station to manage and run the technology and systems which kept the station on air.
On top of working within the student community, I participated a lot in community projects, aimed at reducing the impact of students to the local area through schemes such as NUS Student Switch Off, and Solent University’s Eco Ernie campaign.
I’ve found much of the extra-curricular work I’ve participate in to be some of the most memorable parts of my career, and have had the opportunity to make new life-long friends, who I may have not otherwise met.
Whilst I was at school, I was brought up well, with the values of responsibility, respect, loyalty and integrity – values which I strive to live up to today.
